What is Paper Mario: Color Splash about?
Mario and Princess Peach receive a strange letter that turns out to be a Toad drained entirely of its color and folded into paper. Curious and concerned, they sail to Prism Island to investigate, only to find the town deserted, its streets dotted with colorless spots and faded objects. At the heart of the island, the famed Prisma Fountain has run dry, its six Big Paint Stars missing. There Mario awakens Huey, a talking paint can who guards the fountain and explains that the stars are the source of all the island's color and paint. Agreeing to help, Mario sets off with Huey to recover the scattered Big Paint Stars, restoring color to the world with a magical paint hammer as he goes. Soon Peach is snatched away by Bowser, and Mario must travel across six vibrant regions, aiding stranded Toads and battling Bowser's forces to save both the princess and Prism Island.
