By sending agents wielding precious Chrono Cores to pivotal moments in history, these syndicates aim to nudge reality in subtle ways which, over time, yield profound change. These Divers must contend with rival syndicate agents in battles of wits and wills, seeking to destroy the enemy Core and claim control over time itself. It is this timeless conflict of ideologies, dreams, and power, and the stories of the people and beings which wield them, that play out in CHRONO.
