Two thousand years later, the land is divided among three nations: the Naga-worshipping Halidom of Ylisse, ruled by the gentle Exalt Emmeryn and defended by her militia the Shepherds; the Grima-worshipping kingdom of Plegia; and the warlike Regna Ferox. Into this uneasy peace stumbles Robin, an amnesiac with a gift for tactics who awakens in an open field with no memory of the past. Found by Emmeryn's brother, Prince Chrom, and welcomed into the Shepherds, Robin is swept into a gathering conflict that threatens the entire continent.
